Understanding the Dashboard

Written by Jared Neff

Boostpoint's dashboard provides an analytical overview of your campaigns' performance, and can help inform your next plan of action.

The first chart displays impressions. This is the amount of times your ad is shown. The bolded orange number signifies the total amount of impressions your campaigns have had during the selected date range. The percentage beside this number compares the current date range to the one prior, showing your growth. The chart itself maps impressions by day, each point being the impressions on that particular date. The gray line behind shows the impressions thirty days ago for comparison. You can hover over a point to see both the date and the impressions on that particular day.

The next chart shows link clicks. This maps when the links in your ad were clicked by potential customers. As you can see, the data in this chart is shown in a similar manner to the impressions graph. The bolded green number signifying the total amount of link clicks that occurred in your selected timespan, the percentage compares the amount of clicks in the current date range to the one prior, and the graph itself shows these clicks mapped per day in green, with the previous range in gray for comparison.

The reach chart displays the amount of people who have seen your advertisement. This is a separate statistic from impressions, as there are times when an ad will be shown on a social media page, but will be ignored by the user.

Frequency shows the average amount of times a user will see your ad over the given timeframe.

The amount of leads your campaigns have generated are shown in the leads chart.

Ad spend shows how the budget you assigned to the campaign is being used over the course of its lifespan.

The final chart lists your average cost per lead over the selected timeframe. This takes your total ad spend, and divides it by the amount of leads you generated. The lower the number the better!

You can change the date range for the charts by selecting the dates displayed in the top left-hand corner of the dashboard.

This will bring up a calendar where you can select a new range (displayed in purple). You can also use some timespans we created for you by clicking the yellow buttons below the calendar. The Select button will save this range and recalculate the chart data, while Cancel will return you to the old date range.
